In the heart of the Dommoise forest, the campsite Les Pialades offers an ideal setting for a tent or caravan. Campers appreciate the shady, very spacious pitches, which are well delimited by suitable vegetation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Redone in 2017, the sanitary block offers great comfort for all. A toilet for the little ones and a nursery with a baby bath and changing table are reserved for children. What a pleasure to be able to swim even in spring! Open and heated from April until the campsite closes, our swimming pool and paddling pool are part of the pleasure of your holiday. Whether you want to relax on the deckchairs, have a paddle or do a few lengths, you can enjoy it all day long!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And there are many other activities to do on site<\/strong> at our campsite in the Dordogne. Mini-golf, boules, table tennis, playground, games library, library, billiards\u2026 there’s something for all ages, for all tastes<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Visit Domme, classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

5 minutes from the campsite Les Pialades, the Bastide of Domme<\/strong> is classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France. You will be amazed by the richness of its Perigordian heritage with its superb original doors, its old ramparts, its picturesque little streets, its unique buildings\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bastide of Domme is built on the “barre”, a cliff that dominates the Dordogne river for 150m, and offers an exceptional view of the Dordogne valley<\/strong>. From the top of this rocky promontory, you can admire the castle of Beynac, the village of La Roque-Gageac, the castle of Montfort and its cingle\u2026 A breathtaking view!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To visit Domme, we advise you to follow the Terra Aventura application, which takes you through the village in a fun and instructive way. You can also take the little tourist train.<\/p>\n\n\n\nDomme Tourist Office<\/span><\/a>\n\n\n\n

THE DOOR OF THE TOWERS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you leave the campsite Les Pialades you will come to the imposing and beautiful Porte des Tours. The two half-towers surrounding the entrance have a rich historical past.  They were used as guard rooms and also as a prison for 70 Templars who were held there from 1307 to 1318.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Templars’ graffiti<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The 70 Templars imprisoned in La Porte de Tours left enigmatic evidence of their imprisonment by engraving on the walls. Still visible today, these mysterious graffiti are the subject of a visit offered by the Domme tourist office.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The cave of Domme<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The underground of Domme also holds some nice surprises! At a depth of 20 m, the Domme cave is a real masterpiece with its ceilings decorated with thousands of stalactites, stalagmites, gigantic columns and incredible draperies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n
